They tied their love with a wood-and-gold themed wedding

Panos and Maria walked down the aisle and set off their new life together on the 1st of October, 2017 at St. Lukas chapel within the Lexeko Estate in Lythrodondas surrounded by their loved ones. The couple, which overflowed with happiness and joy, chose to exchange eternal vows within a bright as well as earthly-themed autumn wedding.

The wonderful couple had been together for about six years before they decided to make their relationship official and move to the next level just before Christmas in 2016. Panos, who did not tell anyone about his plan and acted under complete secrecy, placed the jewellery box with the engagement ring on top of the birthday cake just before they blew out the candles during the couple’s joint birthday party. Maria said the big ‘Yes’ in front of the couple’s enthusiastic and excited friends and parents!

The wedding décor and theme was made clear upon looking at the special invitation that was made using wooden textures and shades of gold. Besides being a beautiful wedding invitation it was also original and useful since part of it could be used as a coaster for glasses and the frame could be used as a decorative frame for a photo.

All the wedding decoration details were assigned to GooGoo Designs Events and More and the result was magical, exactly how Maria and Panos dreamed their wedding would be like. A wooden lemonade bar was placed at the entrance of the church to refresh the guests. The wedding ceremony was held within the courtyard of the church surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and the venue was minimally decorated by adding lavish green natural garlands made up of eucalyptus and white ribbons.

White pouches filled with rice and rose petals were placed on the guests’ chairs. The ladies were also given white hand fans to cool off during the ceremony. Marianna Gavriilides of GooGoo Designs Events and More also created a simple background with wreaths of flowers and the couple’s initials in gold for those who wished to take souvenir photos.

The traditional Cypriot ‘Alamata’ accompanied by the violin and lute prepared the newlyweds for the most beautiful day of their lives. Maria arrived at the church in a black antique Rolls Royce wearing a Pantelis Mitsu creation. The fabulous wedding dress was incredibly feminine-like, made with lace, embroidered stones and a special tulle tail. The hair was done by Panayiotis Assiotis , Exclusive Hair Salon, with some of her hair put up loosely in a vague and airy hairstyle while decorating her long veil. Maria’s makeup was done by Savvas Savva (Makeup Artist) using natural and earthy tones.

Panos, who was dressed in white and black colours, chose a slim-lined Kristo Avraam designer suit, combined with a black bow tie. The bouquet he offered to the love of his life consisted of white and pale pink roses, and rich layers of amaranth.

The reception décor created a magical setting! GooGoo Designs Events and More hang chandeliers from the trees, they placed string lights above of the dance floor and fairy lights and multileveled candles on the tables to complete the dreamlike setting.

The flowers used to decorate the marble flower stands by the newlywed’s table and the centrepieces placed on the guests’ high tables were made up of white and pale pink roses, English roses, hydrangeas, chrysanthemums, dahlias, lisianthus and amaranth. Wooden cross back chairs, monastic tables and round tables with white tablecloths were used as seating.

To thank their guests, who shared the most beautiful day of their lives with them, the couple chose a reusable wooden handmade box that contained a bottle of wine as a wedding favor. But what definitely impressed the guests were the Hookahs that were available during the party.

The dreamy setting could only but inspire the guests to have the time of their lives at the wedding reception. All the guests danced, sang and celebrated Maria and Panos new beginning till dawn.
