After 10-year relationship, Amalia Sophocleous and Angelos Efthymiou got married on 30 June 2018, in Paphos, within a fabulous fairy tale setting. Angelos popped the question on Amalia’s birthday, with the help of the couples beloved dog Loupo, which proudly carried the diamond ring!

After the traditional dressing of the bride, she arrived at the church, literally shining in her impressive Efi Papaioannou champagne-coloured wedding dress with gold details and glittering Jimmy Choo shoes. Her hair was adorned with a long and simple veil, while her natural makeup highlighted the impressive earrings, with Swarovski crystals.

Wearing a light blue-grey Mario Alexander Antoniou suit, Angelos was excitedly waiting for his bride in front of the Metropolis of Paphos, while holding a rich bouquet.
Nothing was left to chance, and the choice of church was not an exception as Angelos’ café is located right next to the Metropolis, which is where the couple’s relationship first bloomed and where they created memories and shared beautiful moments.
The church was decorated with rich green compositions, hydrangeas and roses, following the colour palette and style chosen by the couple.

The newlywed couple greeted their guests in the beautiful gardens of Aliathon Holiday Village Hotel, while the romantic lighting of the fountain in the backdrop added to the fairy tale wedding theme. During the wedding reception the guests were entertained by Zacharias Evangelou saxophone melodies.

Shades of blue, white, pink and golden prevailed the wedding decoration while hundreds of lighted candles and fairy lights added a special colour to the setting. Melios Sound & Lights was responsible for the lighting. Chiavari Gold Wooden Chairs were used by PartyCity for the dinner tables, while rich floral arrangements were placed in golden fruit bowls. Blue details were added on the wedding favors along with the couple’s logo, which was printed in gold letters, a creation of Latest Thing Paphos (by Olga Hadjiantona). Red Rose by Mairy Efstathiou was responsible for the wedding decoration including the church, reception and dinner’s décor.

As Amalia confided in us, Gamos & Nyfiko magazine helped immensely when organizing her wedding day as she found the ideas inspirational. “We wanted our wedding to boast with candles and fairy lights. We even decorated the cypress bushes at the entrance of the hotel and the garden are where we greeted our guests. We also covered the gardens with candles and placed fairy lights backdrop where we greeted our guests with our parents, and when night fell it shone brightly… “

The feature that stood out and impressed the guests before the wedding, was the wedding invitation, which the couple designed together with Christina from RedGrass, and was printed on a thick blue cardboard with gold foil in geometric lines, letters and the couple’s logo (a2, created from their initials).

The couple’s logo was also used to decorate the top layer of their three-levelled wedding cake. The wedding cake as well as the wedding treats were made by San Remo Confectionary.

The romantic dinner lighting was replaced with more vivid coloured lighting during the party. The dance floor, courtesy of SY Stage Ltd, quickly filled with people and the fun continued till the morning hours. The couple still remembers how they felt when at some point during the party they were both dancing on chairs and their family and friends were dancing on the dance floor. They felt happiness because they shared their special day with their loved ones. The Foto Larko team took the wedding pictures ad captured fantastic moments.
