The famous designer Anna Dorothea, of Maison Anna Dorothea bridal house, organised a fairytale wedding straight out of her dreams last summer, with her beloved, businessman Neophytos Charalambous. The wedding took place by the sea, at Columbia Beach Resort in Pissouri, in a magical setting with exceptional details, a celebratory mood, lots of fun, filled with many surprises the newlyweds offered to their guests!
A wedding with a coronavirus obstacle course…
The romantic proposal was made after a two-year relationship, and the couple was able, after several postponements due to covid, to have the wedding of their dreams on July 1, 2021.
As Anna Dorothea explained to us, the deciding factor for this venue choice was that Columbia Beach Resort is animal-friendly, so they could have their dog Leo with them on this special day!
The beautiful bride got ready in a suite at the resort, wearing a gorgeous bridal robe that she created herself especially for her wedding, featuring three-dimensional lace flowers with gold detailing, embellished with pearls. Her hair was shaped in a low chignon, a creation by Christos Artemiou, and her glamorous makeup, in earthy tones, by Fotini Anastasiou.
For the ceremony, Anna Dorothea designed a stunning open-back wedding dress made out of baroque fabric, embroidered with crystals and pearls, and a princess skirt that ended in a three-metre tail. A small veil with lace, pearl earrings, and Versace shoes brought together her bridal look for the church.

The romantic ceremony
The elegant groom waited for his beloved in a handmade suit, holding a rich, round bouquet made out flowers that showcased the wedding’s colour design. The cute bridesmaids accompanying the bride were also dressed in Maison Anna Dorothea creations.
The simple ceremony took place in the small All Saints chapel located on the resort grounds, with two stunning, half-arches of hundreds of flowers in soft pink hues enveloping the entrance of the small church.
The imaginative decorations in both the church and the reception area were composed by Helen Dionysia of Paper Flower Cyprus, who used various types of roses, peonies and other types of flowers, and combined real and fake flowers successfully for a more luxurious effect. The entire wedding was organised by the bride, with the help of Andri Siallis of Fairy Dreams Design.
Before and after the ceremony, the notable violinist Lia kept the wedding guests company with her wonderful melodies.
The magical setting
The ceremony was followed by a cocktail party and dinner at the Columbia Resort, by the sea, accompanied by the music and songs of the Cuban band Havana Noche.
The white tables of the reception were combined with transparent chairs and decorated with impressive compositions and handmade crafts. Dozens of chandeliers and candles, white plates with golden designs and gold-coloured cutlery completed the dreamy decoration. The tables, chairs and all the tableware were supplied by Food to Impress.

The impressive entrance and the two-metre cake!
The newlywed couple made an impressive entrance to the reception venue, accompanied by the Kosta Oulas team, with dulcimers and doubles that thrilled the guests. Anna Dorothea, for the reception, designed a sexy wedding dress in a slim-fit, a skin-coloured gown with slides on the back, lace with baroque motifs, embroidered with pearls and let her hair down freely, adorning it with a small kouaf.
The flashes from the guests’ mobile phones lit up as the happy couple cut the multi-storey cake, with a total height of 2.09m, which dominated the dance floor. A unique creation by San Remo Confectionery, it featured gold stripes between each tier and floral decorations.
Leo, the couple’s little dog, was not missing from the scene of course, and he even had his own cake, baked by a chef for dogs!
The wedding treats the couple offered their guests were also from San Remo, while the favours, handmade scented candles in glass jars, were procured by Little Stories.

Explosive fireworks and an erotic tango!
The dance floor area, set up against a backdrop, with dozens of chandeliers and lush floral arrangements really looked like something out of a fairy tale. The whole decoration was once again curated by Helen Dionysia from Paper Flower Cyprus, while the stunning lighting by Kisomi Lighting gave another dimension to the space.
For the first dance, the couple chose to dance an erotic tango, choreographed by Swing Latino, with flawless execution, impressing the guests. Anna Dorothea could not, of course, not wear a dress suitable for the dance, which she designed especially for the occasion! A lovely two-piece set, made of white lace and a large ruffle on the side of the opening, which highlighted her slim body type and shapely legs.
At the end of the tango, dozens of spectacular fireworks, by Pyrgos Fireworks, flooded the sky and magically lit up the Limassol seafront.

And the party is going on…
Finally, Dj Elias took over the evening’s entertainment, keeping the party going until the early morning hours. To be more comfortable, Anna Dorothea also wore the final creation she designed for her wedding, a lovely jumpsuit with feathers and tassels on the straps.
The newlywed couple danced their hearts out, partied with their guests and enjoyed every moment of their wedding.
The beautiful moments of the wedding were captured by the photographers of Studio Profilo and Oscar Studio Videography.
