The most famous fashion designers met recently at Bridal Fashion Week in New York and Barcelona, where they presented their new collections for Spring 2020. The famed designers redefined the concept of a wedding dress as they presented fresh ideas that often contrasted with the collections they had previously accustomed the public with. We put together the collections that impressed us the most and hope you will find your dream wedding dress!

CAROLINA HERRERA

Carolina Herrera’s new collection could be described as fairy tale-like and ethereal. Her effort to remove heavy and useless fabrics from her wedding designs is obvious, but at the same time the sophistication and elegance that always characterizes her collections is evident. The well-hidden details become a secret weapon that charm even the most demanding. Thus, pay attention to detail and let the elegance of simplicity create the perfect bridal look!

COSTARELLOS

The romantic feature highlighted the Spring 2020 bridal collection of Costarrelos bridal house. Noble or royal-like lace with sparse and dense weaves, fine fabrics that outline the line of the body, are the main characteristics that we find here. Their impressive details beautifully combine with low ponytails and makeup in earthy tones.

MARCHESA

Like every year, Marchesa presented impressive designs with exuberant tulles, large sleeves, ruffles trims, deep necklines, heavy fabrics and large bows. Their concept combines the traditional value of a bridal appearance with sensationalism, and their wedding dress designs cannot but draw the attention everyone!

MONIQUE LHUILLIER

Monique Lhuillier’s main objective was to create timeless and elegant wedding dresses which was highlighted in her Spring 2020 bridal collection. Inspired by the magical Italian gardens, she tried to give her creations a classic yet modern look and finesse. The collection has an interesting twist, as the designer added capes to her bridal creations, for all those brides who want to wear sleeves, but not all night.

ΝΑΕΕΜ ΚΗΑΝ

In a recent interview with Vogue, Naeem Khan recognized there is a need for more modern designs in the bridal market. For this reason, this year’s collection for Spring 2020 is less spectacular than the previous, with lighter fabrics and less impressive designs. The renewal also came through the flexibility of this collection as it includes pieces for every taste and personality.

ΟSCAR DE LA RENTA

The fashion house Oscar De La Renta envisions his 2020 bride as elegant, modern and lighter. The thin line between the typical bridal dress and an evening dress is no longer clearly highlighted and this is no coincidence. Short dresses, suits and stunning wedding dresses with large slits are just some of the designs you will surely love!

VERA WANG

Last fall Vera Wang completed her 60th bridal collection and she impressed with her fresh designs presented in the Spring 2020 collection. Consisting of wedding dresses that require a lot of work by hand, her new collection gives a different feel than anything else we’ve seen so far. What was her aim? To design wedding dresses that are impressive from all sides, not only from the front and back. As the designer said, this would be the only way to achieve perfection. Colour, mainly pastels, are highlighted in her collection as well.

VIKTOR & ROLF

Clear silhouettes with architectural details and Parisian refinement are the key elements found in the collection of Viktor & Rolf for Spring 2020. More casual designs such as suits and satin dresses are ideal for Town Hall brides but also for all those who do not feel comfortable wearing impressive tulle dresses. You can also choose VICTOR & ROLF creations for the honeymoon, the brunch the day after your wedding or even your bachelor party!
