In the beginning of autumn and specifically on the 13th of September, 2019, Mikaela and Kosmas were united with the sacred bonds of marriage and surrounded by their most loved ones, they officially set off on their common life as husband and wife. The marriage proposal happened seven years after the start of their relationship, where the couple first met, at CTO beach in Larnaca.

Following all the Cypriot traditions regarding weddings, the bride and groom got ready in their family homes, accompanied by lutes and violins, in a climate full of joy and emotion. A special detail, the floral bracelets worn by the women, in the same colors as the buttons that decorated the men’s lapels. The couple’s dog, a lovely cocker spaniel, was also dressed festively, with a collar-flowered wreath in the colors of the wedding decoration!

After the traditional ‘allamata’ (getting dressed), the couple, separately set off for the church. The Byzantine church of Panagia Angeloktistis in Kiti was festively decorated. Two large, wonderful compositions with blue delphinium, white, baby pink and dusty purple David Austin roses, blue and white hydrangeas and eucalyptus decorated the entrance. In the courtyard, a white table with cold drinks as well as fresh fruit and nuts, and Cyprus products, waited to quench the guests’ thirst and appetite.

The bride arrived to the church glamorously, holding hands with her father, accompanied by violins and lutes.

Kosmas, in a black Hugo Boss suit and silver tie, waited for his beloved Michaela at the entrance of the church, holding a romantic bouquet of David Austin roses in pale shades. The bride arrived glamorously accompanied by relatives and friends, violins, and lutes. Her lovely wedding dress, created by designer Zuhair Murad, with a rich skirt that ended in a short tail, stood out with the impressive bodice with embroidered transparencies. As for her hair, the bride opted for a low sinon, on which she placed her long tulle veil, while her modest make-up highlighted her stately beauty. Her silver shoes, created by designer Sophia Webster, were paired with the little jewelry she wore, as well as the groom’s tie.

With rice, rose petals and white balloons, the guests waited for the exit of the newlyweds, who wished them a life full of happiness in the courtyard of the church, where the couple’s cocktail party took place. With a glass of champagne, under an impressive arch boasting with flowers, the couple thanked their beloved friends and family, who had come to honor them. A special detail was the sound of the saxophone playing that created a dreamy atmosphere.

Finesse and romance were the two main characteristics of this wedding, and one could recognize them even in its smallest details. All the dreamy decoration and the diligence of every detail was created by Adonis Flowers by Elena Philippou. The treats were from the Ladas confectionery, while the catering of the reception was undertaken by Oriental Catering.

After the reception, an excellent dinner awaited the couple’s closest guests, at Galu Seaside. The setting of the decoration was all-white with small touches of shades of blue. White stones were placed in wicker baskets and waited for the wishes of friends and relatives at the entrance.

The setting of the decoration was all-white with small touches of shades of blue. String lights and candles by the sea made the scene look literally as if taken out of a fairy tale.

The all-white tables were decorated with exuberant centre pieces and small candles, while traditional spoon sweets were the newlyweds’ gift to their guests. The newlyweds’ table, however, had a romantic yet impressive composition with blue delphinium, white, baby pink and dusty purple David Austin roses, blue and white hydrangeas but also four tall candlesticks at its highest point and fairly low candlesticks at its base. String lights and candles by the sea made the scene look literally as if taken out of a fairy tale.

The couple’s entrance to the dinner was marked by dozens of fireworks that lit up Larnaca’s Beach, courtesy of The Pyrgos Fireworks Company. Then the couple, more relaxed and with the bride having her long hair down, they cut the high-rise white cake with natural flowers, created by Vienna Boutique, and opened the rich buffet.

The most special moment of the wedding was when Mikaela took the microphone and dedicated a song to her beloved Kosmas, who was visibly touched.  A wild party followed, where Louis Gabriel captured with his camera.
