In the middle of the wonderful Cypriot autumn, specifically on 9th November 2019, Alexandra and Alexis chose to officially unite their lives, in the beautiful church of Archangelos Michael, in Nicosia.

Before meeting at the entrance of the church, however, they had met with all their beloved relatives and friends for the bride and groom’s traditional ‘allamata’ accompanied with violins and lutes. The couple faithfully followed all the Cypriot traditions required for that day. Obvious, however, was the emotion and joy on everyone’s faces! In fact, the bride had prepared a small gift for all the ladies who attended her ‘allamata’ that day, which was beauty masks! Our favourite detail was the gold initials embroidered on the linens used by the couple, such as the bride’s robe, the groom’s towel, and the cushion the wreaths were placed on.

So late in the afternoon of the same day, Alexis waited for his beloved at the entrance of the church wearing a rough blue Boggi Milano suit paired with a silver tie and holding an all-white bouquet made up of white English roses. Alexandra arrived at the church accompanied by her parents, who handed her over to the man she chose to marry. She shone with joy as well as in her wonderful brand-new wedding dress, which embraced her body harmoniously, a creation of Pronovias. Her hair was caught in a low-cut sinion and a long tulle veil completed her bridal look. Her makeup was impressive but not blatant, accentuating her natural beauty.

A special moment was the enchanting image of the dozens of stars that the guests had lit up as they welcomed the newlyweds on their way out of the church.

Every detail of this marriage did not escape the motto chosen by the couple and was nothing more than Amelia Barr’s “It’s always the simple that produces the marvellous”. So with the cooperation of all the professionals who helped organize the wedding but mainly with the help of the professionals of Casa di Fiori, who were in charge of the wedding decoration, Alexandra and Alexis, planned their dream wedding based on the principle of simplicity and elegance. White, green, and gold were the only colours that prevailed, both at the church and Landmark hotel, where the reception and wedding dinner took place.

A special moment was the enchanting image of the dozens of stars that the guests had lit up as they welcomed the newlyweds on their way out of the church. At the reception, where the couple greeted their friends and family, the beautiful sound of the saxophone travelled the guests mentally. Another special moment was also when Alexis thanked all the guests who honoured the couple with their presence on this especially important moment in their lives. All the guests were also impressed with the outstanding wedding favors the couple had chosen as a gift for their guests, which were the Bohemian Chrystal candlesticks.

The excellent food, the wonderful cake but especially the suitable DJ who was none other than Trifonas Anastasiades, were merely some of the reasons this wedding will remain forever engraved in the minds of the attendees. Regarding the wedding photos, the video and the same day video, which were shot from the start of the couple’s ‘allamata’ to the ceremony, the professionals of Yiangos Photography were responsible.
